Responsibilities

This position requires a senior-level writer with experience in content development, compilation, editing and submission of proposals and press releases.   The writer will work with subject matter experts across the organization to develop specific response-focused, technically accurate content.   The writer will also undertake other writing and/or event related projects during periods where no proposal is being undertaken.

Coordinates the development and production of marketing proposals and collateral materials. 


Writes and edits internal and external communications, for a specified area or region, such as newsletters, mailers, and invitations. 

Works with web-based marketing specialist(s) on the effective writing of sales presentations, marketing collaterals, and other marketing items. 

Coordinates advertising projects and material postings with outside vendors. 

Assists in creating business-planning templates for sales professionals or management. 

Other duties may be assigned. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project, but is not responsible for formal supervision of employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Marketing, sales and marketing ,  preferably with focus on Communications, and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training. 


COMMUNICATION SKILLS 
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. 

 Possess excellent writing skills for reports, manuals, speeches, and articles in a pre-designed style and format.  Aptitude to effectively respond to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management.  May be required to present information to an internal department as well as groups of employees

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES 
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and PhotoShop
